About The Game

WOODPUNK is an exhilarating pixel shooter action designed by Meteorbyte Studios with virtually endless variations of level designs allowing for new challenges every time you play! Woodpunk is set in the a "Steampunk Middle Age" where the primary resource is wood. You will find wooden tanks, wooden robots, everything wooden!

Woodpunk is a game that mixes 3 different styles:

-Roguelike: Levels, weapons, and enemy spawns are created procedurally. The are no continues and death sends you directly to the start of the level again. You progress by upgrading your tech tree everytime you return to base.

-Action: Woodpunk allows for fast movement, jumping and fighting against countless hordes of enemies in every intense level. Strategy and positioning is required to defeat your enemies.

-Shooter and beat'em up: It is necessary to master both skills in melee weapons (typically found in early-90s beat'em up games) and ranged weapons we see in everyday shooting games.

Battle over a hundred enemies on screen, simultaneously, with a wide arsenal of procedurally generated weapons, both melee and ranged, reaching over 1400 possible combinations. Your robot companion, Theo, will help you by crafting different weapons during the battle!

Take into account the different strategies employed by the enemy... So choose your weapons and suit appropiately!

In Woodpunk...everything is destroyable! Everything you or the enemy destroys will stay on the battleground, including corpses!
